Welcome
Amy Bryce – Composer
Hello and welcome to my small corner of the dot com. I’m a composer of new music. I’m best known for my vocal works, extravagant graphic scores, and work on participatory commissions with young people, or in community settings. In real life I live in London making art, having conversations and being silly.
If you’d like to get to know my work, I invite you to pick an opera from the trailers below, as I quite like to write those. I’ll let you choose between A Kinder Society which invites you to get back in touch with your inner-child, or PLASTIC BODIES which shines a blacklight on how the opera industry objectifies and sexualises female bodies on stage. See if you can guess which one is which?!
