Dresden Residency: Week 2

Collaborations and rehearsals with choreographer Jūlija Ruseviča following her amazing work on The Breakfast of the Cosmonaut at the Dresden Projekt Theatre.
It’s great to be working with dance again as I’ve not done it for a while. I improvise extensively by myself and with other musicians but I forgot how well dancers can just pull out ideas you didn’t know you had.
Future project includes an extensive amount of tubing and a trip to a hardware store.
Unrelated but also incredibly noteworthy this week was seeing Figaro at Dresden Semperoper. Stylish production by Johannes Erath managed to make a well-known classic completely unpredictable with an innovative way of looking at stage design – bravo!
